I hired them to grind a few tree stumps that another company only ground a few inches below the ground. They did a great job and were very competitive price wise. I would hire them again.

I am Kirk Carlson, and I spent my professional career as a firefighter for the City of Detroit. I love helping people and with a low salary, a great schedule, and being a serial entrepreneur (who also loves cereal) I started my first “services” company in 2003 with a stump removal business – Forrest Stump. This venture was cut short when my feet were nearly turned into stumps at a structure fire in 2006 and required a long stint in a wheelchair.
After recovery, I returned to the fire department, but also stayed in the outdoor services space providing light excavation, demolition, stump removal, and augering on a part time basis. Like services often do, this has morphed into a full time career.
I started the Mr. Posthole brand not only to be a true family owned and operated company that focuses on post hole drilling, but to teach my teenage sons and daughter the value of hard work, integrity, honesty and professionalism. When they go out into the world on their own I want them to bring more to the table other than just a fork, therefore, you will often see one or all of them working alongside me.
